Our widest line: gold plating over stainless steel, brass and other base metals for the accessible pieces, and over sterling silver 925 for most of the moissanite ones. Same warm finish, very different builds underneath.
Over stainless steel, the plating sits on a base that will never rust or turn your skin green, even if the gold layer wears down over years of daily contact. Over sterling silver 925, you get a heavier piece and a base metal that holds value on its own. The steel line is the accessible one; the sterling silver line sits well above it.
Plating wears with friction, not with water. Our pieces are water-resistant, so showering or swimming will not damage them. What shortens plating life is abrasion: putting a chain on and off past a collar, or stacking bracelets that rub. Store pieces separately and the finish lasts considerably longer.
